Positive Attitude

What is being  positive? Being Postitive is never giving up and trying new things.

An example of positive attitude is when you fail in doing something you get back and try it again. Some ways of showing positive attitude is: Smiling and being kind to others, or being happy for someone else’s success.

Positive Attitude can help people in many different ways.

SSR Selfie

I did a task called SSR Selfie

First I read my book and put a 15 minute timer so I know when to stop reading.

Next I wrote what the main character is which is: Raina. Next I wrote the author was which is: Ann M. Martin.

Then when the timer is up I recount what hapened i the story so far.

After I wrote three new words in my own meaning.

Lastly I took a photo of the book a read.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt new words and their meaning. I did well on writing the meanings in my own words. I need to improve on recounting the book I read.

Statistical Investigation

I learnt what statistics is. Statistics is answering questions using collected information as numbers.

First we wrote some sentences about how accurate LS1 is at (nerf) shooting. Some of the questions we asked were : What stance gives the most accurate shooting, whos better boys or girls, what year group is the most accurate year group?Year 4. year 5 or year 6.

Next we asked the shooter their gender: boy or girl. The year groups: year 6, year 5, year 4. Ask the shooter if you want to prone, crouch, or stand.

Lastly we wrote what the data that we are collecting, how the data will be collected, and how the data needs to be organised.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Commanding conversation

I did a task called Commanding Conversation.

Commanding conversation is a task where you make a conversation based of a picture.

I enjoyed using this task because I can make conversations with my imagination.

 

Basic Facts Boxes v2

I did a task called basic facts boxes v2

I did subtraction up to 20 and completed it in one minute and 17 seconds.

I enjoyed doing subtraction up to 20.

Skit

I made a skit based on a moral.

First we learnt what a skit is. A skit needs a message/moral, problem and a solution, script, character, description, and a setting. What is a moral? A moral is a short sentence that teaches us something.

Next we picked a moral/message for what our skit is going to be based off.

Lastly we wrote the actions and what the characters are gonna say for the performance. Then I practised with my group saying our lines for the play.

 

 

 

 

Processed food

I learnt about processed food.

First we discussed and recorded our opinions with the extended discussion cards.

Next I recorded a discussion with my gorup talking about if processed food is good or bad. My opinion was: I think processed food is good with keeping food last longer but we should not be eating to much because it causes health problems. It can lead to a heart disease.

I enjoyed finding information about processed food. I enjoyed discussing with the extended discussion cards. I need to improve on discussing our opinion.

Poetry

Diamante, cinquain, haiku, and limerick are the four types of poetry.

Diamante is a type of poetry that is in a shape of a diamond. There are word types: nouns, adjectives, and verbs. In Diamante there should be 7 lines and has no rhyme and rhythm.

Cinquain has 5 lines, syllables, Topic, Feelings, Action, conclusion and a description.

Haiku is a type of poetry that usually, a moment in time. The structure is 3 lines 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables and a seasonal word.

Limerick, The topic is anything but usually tells a joke. The structure has 5 lines and also has end rhyme used on lines 1, 2, and 5.

Comment thread

I learnt how to do a comment thread.

I commented on Mayshar’s blog about Processed Food. The four things you’ll need in a comment is: A greeting, what you learnt from their blog post, a question and a encouragement\ praise\ helpful comment.

For example a greeting: Hello\Hi, Greetings, Kia Ora and more. An example for what you learnt from His\Her’s blog: I have learnt that…  A question can be: Do you think?, Why?, What?, How?, Is? and more. For an encouragement: Keep up the good work, Great job… and other.

Comment thread is making conversations with each other online.
